Friday, on the 25th of August, with the kick off at 19:00, Vitesse will receive the visit of Utrecht, in the 4th round of the Eredivisie.
Vitesse started off this season quite well, with 6 points and +3 goal record. Known as a ultra-offensive side, the team from Arnhem made quite a show when they won 4-1 in the debut round against Willem II. That performance was followed by an upsetting 1-2 defeat against, Den Haag, but they made up for it last round at Kerkdrade, with a 1-0 win against Roda. The single goal of that game was scored by Lewis Baker.
Utrecht is currently on the 1th position, with a single point, being one of the few teams that has not managed to win a single game so far. If everybody was expecting the debut game against PSV which was lost 2-1, the morale sunk after another loss. A 2-2 draw came against Heerenveen afterwards, but they dropped their previous game with the score of 2-1 as well. We must highlight the fact that Utrecht has scored in each and every single game so far.
Vitesse(4-2-3-1): Room – Leerdam – Kashia – Werff – Kruiswijk – Nakamba – Baker – Rashica – Qazaishvili – Nathan – Wolfswinkel
FC Utrecht(4-3-1-2): Jensen – Klaiber – Leeuwin – Janssen – Conboy – Joosten – Strieder – Amrabat – Ayoub – Rubin – Haller
Vitesse always has a problem when facing Utrecht, as they have lost 4 of the past 5 encounters over the years. Despite those losses, both teams scored and at least 3 goals were scored in each and every of those games. We are expecting the same performance from these two teams, as Utrecht showed a huge appetite for goals in the previous season as well.
